Hammock time
I love my hammock. I can sleep on that thing no problem. I call friends while laying on it, so I can look at the trees and sky. Ralph, my dog, will do this crazy ninja leap to go straight from the ground to landing on my body with all 4 feet at one time while I'm on the hammock. He weighs 50 pounds! I am amazed he can do this. My other dog, Indie, just puts her front paws up and then asks for assistance to get all the way up. I tried to get some kind of picture to show how he lays on me while we do hammock time, and this is the best example so far.

Sunset in NC
Sunset in Weaverville, NC eating Thai food, watching the girl play on the dirt mound, hearing the Peacocks in the distance, hanging with friends on a warm evening. Earlier on the Blue Ridge Parkway we had seen two male turkeys in full puffed out chest and tail showing excess vying for the attention of slender plain looking female turkey. We watched the courtship dance and hated to see it end.

On the road to Asheville
Took this picture with the iPhone going 70mph on the highway. I wanted to capture the feel of the mountains and clouds while I was driving. The drive from Athens to Asheville is beautiful and I tend to listen to the same music each time I go because of the freedom I feel while driving there. Windows open, music loud, cold beverages in the cooler...

Prayer Flag
Saw this flag at Ben Burton Park last night. The man on the right made the prayer flag and there is multi-colored stitching around the circle. The middle is empty because as he said only God can create nature. In the park you saw nature on either side of the flag. There was thread available to stitch onto the flag and some people had done that. The flag was held up by bamboo poles. My dogs avoided going near it.

Dog walking
I walk the dogs a lot. If I'm lucky maybe 4 times a week. If I were independently wealthy it would happen everyday on some piece of land that is safe to explore on foot without leashes. I would take these two on journeys with me all over the continent.
